Tucson Unified School District

Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is the largest school district of Tucson, Arizona in terms of enrollment. As of 2006 TUSD has more than 60,000 students and approximately 3,700 faculty members.
The district boundaries encompass much of the City of Tucson, the city of South Tucson, and segments of Catalina Foothills and Tanque Verde. TUSD is currently under a federal desegregation order to help balance district schools in terms of race and ethnicity. The district was established as "School District No. 1" in 1867, and assumed its current name in 1977. The district has nine traditional high schools and several alternative high schools. The largest high school in the district, in terms of enrollment, is Tucson High Magnet School near downtown Tucson. According to the district website, 2945 students attended Tucson High during the 2006-2007 school year.

Sunnyside Unified School District

Sunnyside Unified School District is a school district in Pima County, Arizona, USA. The district extends from Tucson south to Sahuarita and from Interstate 19 to Wilmot Road. As of 2006 it has 13 elementary schools, five middle schools and three high schools, with a certified teaching staff of some 1,000 and a student body of 16,000.

Salpointe Catholic High School

Since opening its doors in 1950, Salpointe Catholic has enjoyed a distinguished reputation for its strong curriculum, competitive athletics, highly-acclaimed fine arts, faith-strengthening religious program and spirited co-curricular activities. Highland Free School

The educational philosophy at Highland Free School is based upon the fact that children are naturally inquisitive and excited by learning. Our goal is to keep that inquisitiveness alive. When we first opened our doors as a private school, we were embarking on an educational experiment to provide a unique learning environment for parents and students looking for an alternative to public schools. Our non-profit school was founded upon educational principles that were, at the time, fresh and innovative. Concepts such as the “open classroom,” where students no longer had to sit in straight rows of desks, and “student-based curriculum” that eliminated standard textbooks in favor of educational programs based on a student’s individual readiness and interests. Faith Lutheran School

St. Michael's Parish Day School
